How to Publish Your Framer Template

Learn the step-by-step process to publish and share your Framer templates

Feb 1, 2025

Creating and designing a Framer template is just the beginning; getting it out there for others to use is the next step. Publishing your template on the Framer platform allows you to share your design, help others build faster, and even monetize your work. Here’s a simple guide to walk you through the process.

Finalize Your Design

Before publishing, ensure your template is polished and ready for use. Double-check that every element is responsive, well-organized, and follows best practices in design. You’ll want your template to be easy to use and customizable for any potential buyer or user.

Organize Your Project

Clean up your layers, group related components, and add descriptions where necessary. A well-organized project makes it easier for users to navigate and edit. Also, ensure that all the assets you’ve used are either included or linked correctly.

Add Documentation

Include a simple guide or instructions for your template. This helps users understand how to customize and use the template without frustration. You can either add it within the Framer file or link to an external guide.

Set Up for Publishing

Once your design is ready, head to the Framer Store or Framer's Publishing Dashboard. Create a new listing and fill in the necessary information. This includes:

  • Title: Choose a descriptive and catchy name for your template.

  • Description: Write a brief but detailed description of your template. Highlight its key features and what makes it unique.

  • Tags: Add relevant tags to make your template more discoverable.

  • Images: Upload high-quality preview images or a video showcasing your template in action.

Choose Pricing

Decide whether your template will be free or paid. If you’re selling your template, set a reasonable price based on its complexity and the value it offers. Framer will guide you through setting up the pricing.

Publish and Share

Once everything is set up, hit the Publish button. Your template will go live in the Framer store. To maximize its reach, share your template on social media, within design communities, or through your personal network.
